So we must no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men and their craftiness in deceitful scheming.


If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of him and do not associate with him, so that he will feel ashamed.


Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep yourselves away from every brother who walks in idleness and does not live according to the teaching we passed on to them.


Have nothing to do with profane myths and old wives' tales. Rather train yoʋrself for godliness.


For bodily training is beneficial to a certain extent, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for both the present life and the life to come.


But if anyone does not provide for his own relatives, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.


and constant disagreement among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, supposing that godliness is a means of gain. Keep away from such people.


Avoid profane chatter, for those who engage in such talk will stray further and further into ungodliness,


Have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant controversies, knowing that they breed quarrels.


They profess to know God, but by their works they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient, and proven unqualified for any good work.


Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning.
