13 In this we find comfort. And in addition to the comfort we received from you, we rejoiced all the more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, be men of courage, and be strong.

That is why I wrote to you as I did, so that when I came I would not have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice. I had confidence about you all that my joy would be yours.


For if I made any boast to him about you, I was not put to shame. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting to Titus has also proven to be true.


And his affection for you is even greater when he remembers the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling.


But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the arrival of Titus,


Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you can rejoice and I can be less anxious.


May the Lord give mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.


Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from yoʋ in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.


We are very thankful for the comfort we have received from yoʋr love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through yoʋ, brother.


Finally, you must all be of one mind, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, and kind.
