Now when this perishable body has put on imperishability, and this mortal body has put on immortality, then this saying that is written will be fulfilled: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”


Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.


For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.


For godly sorrow produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sorrow produces death.


Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ has forgiven us.


Indeed he was sick, almost to the point of death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have one sorrow after another.


bearing with one another and forgiving one other if any one of you has a complaint against another; just as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive.


But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not be grieved like others who do not have hope.


Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep yourselves away from every brother who walks in idleness and does not live according to the teaching we passed on to them.
