Then some Pharisees came up to Jesus and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”


“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and everyone who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.


Now to the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband


Now to the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she consents to dwell with him, he must not divorce her.
