I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.


But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.


For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.


My son, walk not thou in the way with them; Refrain thy foot from their path:


O taste and see that the LORD is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.


Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

O my soul, come not thou into their secret; Unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: For in their anger they slew a man, And in their selfwill they digged down a wall.


Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.


Good understanding giveth favour: But the way of transgressors is hard.


Depart from me, ye evildoers: For I will keep the commandments of my God.


Blessed are they that keep judgment, And he that doeth righteousness at all times.


My foot standeth in an even place: In the congregations will I bless the LORD.


To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, From the man that speaketh froward things;


So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: And they walked in their own counsels.


The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.


Surely he scorneth the scorners: But he giveth grace unto the lowly.


Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.


If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.


O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
