Terach lived seventy years, and became the father of Avram, Nachor, and Charan.


Now this is the history of the generations of Terach. Terach became the father of Avram, Nachor, and Charan. Charan became the father of Lot.


Avram and Nachor took wives. The name of Avram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nachor's wife, Milkah, the daughter of Charan who was also the father of Yiskah.


After these things the word of the LORD came to Avram in a vision, saying, *Don't be afraid, Avram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.*

The God of Avraham, and the God of Nachor, the God of their father, judge between us.* Then Ya`akov swore by the fear of his father, Yitzchak.
