1 Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Yishai says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Ya`akov, the sweet psalmist of Yisra'el:

Ya`akov called to his sons, and said: *Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.


He makes his feet like hinds' [feet], and sets me on my high places.


He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, forevermore.


Then on that day David first ordained to give thanks to the LORD, by the hand of Asaf and his brothers.


Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.


*Yet I have set my king on my holy hill of Tziyon.*


This ends the prayers by David, the son of Yishai.


I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,


with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.


who strum on the strings of a harp; who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;


David himself says in the book of Tehillim, 'The Lord said to my Lord, *Sit at my right hand,


He said to them, *This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the Torah of Moshe, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.*


This is the blessing, with which Moshe the man of God blessed the children of Yisra'el before his death.


Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.


Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.


Now David was the son of that Efratite of Beit-Lechem-Yehudah, whose name was Yishai; and he had eight sons: and the man was an old man in the days of Sha'ul, stricken [in years] among men.


The women sang one to another as they played, and said, Sha'ul has slain his thousands, David his ten thousands.


Those who strive with the LORD shall be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in the sky. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
