When they came to the camp of Yisra'el, the Yisra'eli's rose up and struck the Mo`avim, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land smiting the Mo`avim.


For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great army: and they said one to another, Behold, the king of Yisra'el has hired against us the kings of the Chitti, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come on us.

My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, have I gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.*


Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A lady, two ladies to every man; to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?
