There have I set a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.


There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moshe put [there] at Chorev, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Yisra'el, when they came out of Egypt.


The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day.


The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:

You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you.


He took and put the testimony into the teivah, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.


The glory of the LORD mounted up from the Keruv, [and stood] over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.


and the LORD said to Moshe, *Tell Aharon your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.
