Didn’t King Solomon of Israel sin in matters like this? There was not a king like him among many nations. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, yet foreign women drew him into sin.


The mouth of the forbidden woman is a deep pit; a man cursed by the  Lord will fall into it.


For a prostitute is a deep pit, and a wayward woman is a narrow well;


As a dog returns to its vomit, so also a fool repeats his foolishness.


Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, you will not separate his foolishness from him.


Now these things took place as examples for us, so that we will not desire  evil things as they did.  ,


But Samson stayed in bed only until midnight. Then he got up, took hold of the doors of the city gate along with the two gateposts, and pulled them out, bar and all. He put them on his shoulders and took them to the top of the mountain overlooking Hebron.


The Philistine leaders  went to her and said, ‘Persuade him to tell you  where his great strength comes from, so we can overpower him, tie him up, and make him helpless. Each of us will then give you 1,100 pieces of silver.’
