2 I looked, and there was someone who looked like a man.  From what seemed to be his waist down was fire, and from his waist up was something that looked bright,  like the gleam of amber.

I looked, and there was a whirlwind  coming from the north, a huge cloud with fire flashing back and forth and brilliant light all around it. In the centre of the fire, there was a gleam like amber.


He brought me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze,  with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand.  He was standing by the city gate.


In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, I was sitting in my house and the elders of Judah were sitting in front of me,  and there the hand of the Lord God came down on me.


His body was like beryl,  his face like the brilliance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches,  his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.
