The rest of the events of Solomon’s reign, along with all his accomplishments and his wisdom, are written in the Book of Solomon’s Events.


As for the rest of the events of Jeroboam’s reign, how he waged war  and how he reigned, note that they are written in the Historical Record of Israel’s Kings.

The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they didn’t listen.


His prayer and how God was receptive to his prayer, and all his sin and unfaithfulness and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and carved images before he humbled himself, they are written in the Events of Hozai.


For the Lord has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to   sleep; he has shut your eyes (the prophets) and covered your heads (the seers).


They say to the seers, ‘Do not see,’ and to the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy the truth to us. Tell us flattering things. Prophesy illusions.


Then Amaziah said to Amos, ‘Go away, you seer!  Flee to the land of Judah. Earn your living  and give your prophecies there,


Then the seers will be ashamed and the diviners disappointed. They will all cover their mouths  , because there will be no answer from God.


Formerly in Israel, a man who was going to enquire of God would say, ‘Come, let’s go to the seer,’ for the prophet of today was formerly called the seer.
