Son, do not cease listening to doctrine, and do not be ignorant of the sermons of knowledge.


But Jesus responded to them by saying: "You have gone astray by knowing neither the Scriptures, nor the power of God.


'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' He is not the God of the dead, but of the living."


And Jesus responded by saying to them: "But have you not gone astray, by knowing neither the scriptures, nor the power of God?


And so he is not the God of the dead, but of the living. For all are alive to him."


For Christ died and rose again for this purpose: that he might be the ruler of both the dead and the living.
