But when David had seen his servants whispering, he realized that the infant had died. And he said to his servants, "Is the child dead?" And they responded to him, "He is dead."

To David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are exceedingly great. You have clothed yourself with confession and beauty;


The mountains ascend, and the plains descend, to the place which you have founded for them.


that I should do your will. My God, I have willed it. And your law is in the midst of my heart.


Confession and beauty are in his sight. Sanctity and magnificence are in his sanctuary.


Do not seem wise to yourself. Fear God, and withdraw from evil.


Let your garments be white at all times, and let not oil be absent from your head.


But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,


You did not anoint my head with oil. But she has anointed my feet with ointment.


Therefore, wash and anoint yourself, and put on your decorative garments, and go down to the threshing floor, but do not let the man see you, while he finishes eating and drinking.


But now, I beg you, to bear my sin, and to return with me, so that I may adore the Lord."


Therefore, Samuel turned again after Saul. And Saul adored the Lord.
