“Woe to the world because of stumbling blocks! It is necessary that stumbling blocks come, yet woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!
Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘Yoʋ shall worship the Lord yoʋr God, and him only shall yoʋ serve.’ ”
But turning around and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind me, Satan! For yoʋ are not thinking about the things of God, but the things of men.”
Jesus answered him, “Get behind me, Satan! It is written, ‘Yoʋ shall worship the Lord yoʋr God, and him only shall yoʋ serve.’ ”
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.”
Therefore let us no longer judge one another. Instead, resolve not to put any stumbling block or snare before your brother.
It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything by which yoʋr brother stumbles or is offended or made weak.
Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on earthly things.
