But you say, ‘If anyone says to his father or mother, “Whatever benefit yoʋ might have received from me is a gift to God,” then he certainly need not honor his father or his mother.’


Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother, and, Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”


Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘Yoʋ shall worship the Lord yoʋr God, and him only shall yoʋ serve.’ ”


Do we then nullify the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we uphold the law.


Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
