Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do yoʋ read it?”


For the commandments, “Yoʋ shall not commit adultery, Yoʋ shall not murder, Yoʋ shall not steal, Yoʋ shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”


You were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another in love.


For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.


If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself,” you do well.


My little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in deed and truth.
