So He brought me there, and look, a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, and a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he stood in the gateway.
“And give the city as possession: five thousand cubits wide and twenty-five thousand long, beside the contribution of the set-apart portion – it belongs to all the house of Yisra’ĕl.
Therefore thus said יהוה, “I shall return to Yerushalayim with compassion. My house shall be built in it,” declares יהוה of hosts, “and a surveyor’s line be stretched out over Yerushalayim.” ’

“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and not one of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
And a reed like a measuring rod was given to me, and the messenger stood, saying, “Rise and measure the Dwelling Place of Elohim, and the slaughter-place, and those worshipping in it.
