Aḇshalom and all the men of Yisra’ĕl then said, “The advice of Ḥushai the Arkite is better than the advice of Aḥithophel.” For יהוה had ordained to nullify the good advice of Aḥithophel, for the sake of יהוה bringing evil upon Aḇshalom.


יהוה is doing righteousness And right-ruling for all the oppressed.


Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, I now arise, says יהוה, “I set in safety – he pants for it.”


Though I walk in the midst of distress, You revive me; You stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand saves me.

יהוה, when You awake You despise their image, As one does a dream after waking.


Lift up Your steps to the endless ruins; The enemy has done all evil in the set-apart place.


Then יהוה awoke as one asleep, As a mighty man who shouts because of wine.


יהוה shall stand up to plead, and is standing to judge the peoples.


“Now I rise up,” declares יהוה. “Now I am exalted, now I am lifted up.


“And now, O יהוה our Elohim, save us from his hand, so that all the reigns of the earth know that You are יהוה, You alone.”


Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of יהוה! Awake as in days of old, everlasting generations. Was it not You who cut Rahaḇ apart, and pierced the Crocodile?
