Then Herodes, having called the Magi secretly, learned exactly from them what time the star appeared.
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
The Pharisees then said among themselves, “You see how you are getting nowhere at all. Look, the world has gone after Him!”
