Leviticus 4:21 - The Scriptures 2009

‘And he shall bring the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is a sin offering for the assembly.

The sons of the exile, who had come from the captivity, brought ascending offerings to the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl: twelve bulls for all Yisra’ĕl, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve male goats as a sin offering – all as an ascending offering to יהוה.


“But the flesh of the bull, and its skin and its dung, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.


“And on that day the prince shall prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.


“And he shall slay the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, and shall bring its blood inside the veil, and shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the lid of atonement and in front of the lid of atonement.


“Then Aharon shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and shall confess over it all the crookednesses of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and all their transgressions in all their sins, and shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man.


“And the bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Set-apart Place, is brought outside the camp. And they shall burn their skins, and their flesh, and their dung with fire.


‘And if the entire congregation of Yisra’ĕl strays by mistake, and the matter has been hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done against any of the commands of יהוה, which are not to be done, and shall be guilty,


‘And he shall do with the bull as he did with the bull as a sin offering – so shall he do it. And the priest shall make atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them.


‘And he shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and shall bring the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.


and every grain offering for the priest is completely burned, it is not eaten.”


And the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.


then it shall be, if it is done by mistake, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall prepare one young bull as an ascending offering, as a sweet fragrance to יהוה, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the right-ruling, and one male goat as a sin offering.


even as the Son of Aḏam did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”


For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim.


For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the Set-apart Place by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.
