“And they are not to defile themselves by coming near a dead man. Only for a father or mother, for a son or daughter, for a brother or unmarried sister they defile themselves.

He who touches the dead of any human being is unclean for seven days.


This is the Torah when a man dies in a tent: All who come into the tent and all who are in the tent are unclean for seven days,


Anyone in the open field who touches someone slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man, or a burial-site, is unclean for seven days.


“Command the children of Yisra’ĕl to send out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled for a being.


All the days of his separation to יהוה he does not go near a dead body.
