Words of uprightness are harsh! But what does your reproving reprove?
How forcible are right words! But what doth your arguing reprove?
How forcible are words of straightforward speech! But what does your arguing argue and prove or your reproof reprove?
How forcible are words of uprightness! But your reproof, what doth it reprove?
How painful are truthful words, but what do your condemnations accomplish?
Why have you diminished the words of truth, when there is none of you who is able to offer proof against me?
Why have you detracted the words of truth, whereas there is none of you that can reprove me?
If you would only be silent, then it would be your wisdom!
How then do you comfort me in vain, seeing that perverseness remains in your answers?”
And if it is not so, who does prove me a liar, and make my word worthless?”
See, all of you have seen it. Why then are you altogether vain?
And against his three friends his wrath burned, because they had found no answer, and pronounced Elohim wrong.
Your words have raised up him who was stumbling, and you have strengthened the weak knees.
Teach me, and I shall be silent. And show me where I have gone astray.
