It stood still, but I could not discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes – silence, then a voice I heard,


Making His messengers the winds, His servants a flame of fire.


and they shall be afraid. Pangs and sorrows take hold of them, they are in pain as a woman in labour; they are amazed at one another, their faces aflame!


And he said to me, “O Dani’ĕl, man greatly appreciated, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” And while he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.


Then the sovereign’s colour changed, and his thoughts alarmed him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other.


And when the taught ones saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a phantom!” And from fear they cried.


Are they not all serving spirits sent out to attend those who are about to inherit deliverance?


And of the messengers indeed He says, "... who is making His messengers spirits and His servants a flame of fire.”
