“Truly you are the people, and wisdom would die with you!
No doubt but ye are the people, And wisdom shall die with you.
No doubt you are the [only wise] people [in the world], and wisdom will die with you!
Surely you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.
Are you, therefore, alone among men, and will wisdom die with you?
Are you then men alone; and shall wisdom die with you?
But a senseless man takes heart when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man!
“Should a multitude of words go unanswered? And should a man of lips be declared right?
and show you the secrets of wisdom, doubling your ability. Know then that Eloah forgets some of your crookedness for you.
And Iyoḇ answered and said,
“Would a wise man answer with vain knowledge, or fill his belly with the east wind?
But please, come back again, all of you, for I do not find a wise one among you.
For You have hidden their heart from understanding, therefore You do not exalt them.
I have listened to the reproof which insults me, and the spirit of my understanding makes me answer.
How have you given counsel to the unwise, or declared sound advice to many?
A rich man is wise in his own eyes, But the poor who has understanding searches him out.
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!
We are fools for the sake of Messiah, but you are wise in Messiah! We are weak, but you are strong! You are in esteem, but we are not appreciated!
I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise one among you, not even one, who shall be able to judge between his brothers?
