And it came to be, when they had eaten up the grain which they had brought from Mitsrayim, that their father said to them, “Go back, buy us a little food.”


“If you let our brother go with us, we go down and buy you food.


And Yehuḏah said to Yisra’ĕl his father, “Send the boy with me, and let us arise and go, and live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.


Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Yosĕph, Elohim has made me master of all Mitsrayim. Come down to me, do not delay.


Let me not die, but live, And declare the works of Yah.


See, the eye of יהוה is on those fearing Him, On those waiting for His loving-commitment,


To deliver their being from death, And to keep them alive during scarcity of food.


In those days Ḥizqiyahu was sick and near death. And Yeshayahu the prophet, the son of Amots, came to him, and said to him, “Thus said יהוה, ‘Command your house, for you are going to die and not live.’ ”


But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.’ ”


“But Ya‛aqoḇ heard that there was grain in Mitsrayim, and he sent out our fathers the first time,
