And the woman said to the naḥash, “We are to eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden,

The woman responded to him: "From the fruit of the trees which are in Paradise, we eat.

And the woman answered him, SAYING: Of the fruit of the trees that are in paradise we do eat:

And יהוה Elohim commanded the man, saying, “Eat of every tree of the garden,

but do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat of it you shall certainly die.”

but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim has said, ‘Do not eat of it, nor touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Their poison is like the poison of a snake; Like a deaf cobra that stops its ear,
