Genesis 12:19 - The Scriptures 2009

“Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’? And so I was going to take her for my wife. Look, here is your wife, take her and go.”

Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.

And Pharaoh called Aḇram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not inform me that she was your wife?

And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him, and they sent him away, with his wife and all that he had.

Then Aḇimeleḵ took sheep, and cattle, and male and female servants, and gave them to Aḇraham. And he returned Sarah his wife to him.

Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a glad heart; for Elohim has already approved your works.
