“And twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width is for the Lĕwites, the attendants of the House, for them for a possession, twenty rooms.
“So this contribution shall be to them, from the contribution of the land, a most set-apart place by the border of the Lĕwites.
“And they do not sell any of it, nor exchange it, nor transfer this best part of the land, for it is set-apart to יהוה.
‘But the field of the open land of their cities is not sold, for it is their everlasting possession.
“And stay in the same house, eating and drinking whatever with them, for the labourer is worthy of his wages. Do not move from house to house.
“Guard yourself that you do not forsake the Lĕwite as long as you live in your land.
