And in the time of his distress Sovereign Aḥaz trespassed even more against יהוה – this Sovereign Aḥaz –

And in the time of his distress Sovereign Aḥaz trespassed even more against יהוה – this Sovereign Aḥaz –
Menashsheh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Yerushalayim.
And when he was in distress, he sought the face of יהוה his Elohim, and humbled himself greatly before the Elohim of his fathers,
And his prayer, and his entreaty, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places where he built high places and set up the Ashĕrim and the carved images, before he was humbled, see, they are written among the words of the seers.
And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה his Elohim. He did not humble himself before Yirmeyahu the prophet, who spoke from the mouth of יהוה.
“But they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did evil, more than their fathers.
“Were they ashamed when they had done abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed, nor did they know how to blush. So they shall fall among those who fall. They shall stumble in the time of their visitation,” said יהוה.
“And you his son, Bĕlshatstsar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.
But evil men and impostors shall go on to the worse, leading astray and being led astray.
