And the name of the man was Naḇal, and the name of his wife Aḇiḡayil. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful. But the man was hard and evil in his doings. And he was of Kalĕḇ.
And it was reported to Sha’ul that Dawiḏ had fled to Gath, so he sought him no more.
And Dawiḏ and his men came to the city and saw it burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captive.
