The sovereign is not saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.


The nations shall rage, Reigns shall topple; He shall give forth His voice, The earth melts.


I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the mighty, nor even bread to the wise, nor even riches to men of understanding, nor even favour to men of knowledge – for time and chance meets with them all.


But Yishma‛ĕl the son of Nethanyah escaped from Yoḥanan with eight men and went to the Ammonites.
