Have you seen a man wise in his own eyes? There is more expectancy for a fool than for him.


Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;


Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil.


So now, listen to me, you children, And do not turn away from the words of my mouth.


Feeding on ashes, a deceived heart turns him aside, and he does not deliver his being, nor says, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”


Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!

For I do not wish you to be ignorant of this secret, brothers, lest you should be wise in your own estimation, that hardening in part has come over Yisra’ĕl, until the completeness of the nations has come in.


Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be proud in mind, but go along with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.


Do not be led astray, “Evil company corrupts good habits.”


If anyone destroys the Dwelling Place of Elohim, Elohim shall destroy him. For the Dwelling Place of Elohim is set-apart, which you are.


We are fools for the sake of Messiah, but you are wise in Messiah! We are weak, but you are strong! You are in esteem, but we are not appreciated!

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these the wrath of Elohim comes upon the sons of disobedience.


But evil men and impostors shall go on to the worse, leading astray and being led astray.


For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, led astray, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in evil and envy, being hated and hating one another.


And become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.


If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is worthless.


If we say that we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
