He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, but his hand clung to the sword, so יהוה brought about a great deliverance that day. And the people returned after him only to plunder.


And Na‛aman, commander of the army of the sovereign of Aram, was a great man in the eyes of his master, and highly respected, because by him יהוה had given deliverance to Aram. And he was a brave man, but leprous.


He was with Dawiḏ at Pasdammim, and the Philistines were gathered there for battle, and a portion of the field was filled with barley, and the people had fled before the Philistines.


And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock to Dawiḏ, into the cave of Aḏullam, while the army of the Philistines encamped in the Valley of Repha’im.

Making great the deliverance of His sovereign, And showing loving-commitment to His anointed, To Dawiḏ and his seed, forever.


The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But the deliverance is of יהוה.


Thus יהוה saved Yisra’ĕl that day, and the battle passed over to Bĕyth Awen.
