O that thou wouldst slay the wicked, O God, and that men of blood would depart from me,

But thou, O God, wilt cast them down into the lowest pit; men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in thee.
lest like a lion they rend me, dragging me away, with none to rescue.
Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?
