The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but because he polluted his father's couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he is not enrolled in the genealogy according to the birthright;
And these are the names of the men who shall attend you. From Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
And the standard of the camp of Reuben set out by their companies; and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out.
On the fourth day Elizur the son of Shedeur, the leader of the men of Reuben:
and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Elizur the son of Shedeur.
