But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.


Watch therefore—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning—


And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them,


If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants!


When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat. They were frightened,


He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land,


And the angel whom I saw standing on sea and land lifted up his right hand to heaven


Then the voice which I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
