From there they went against the inhabitants of Debir. The name of Debir was formerly Kiriath-sepher.

From there [Judah] went against the inhabitants of Debir. The name of Debir before was Kiriath-sepher [city of books and scribes].

And from thence he went against the inhabitants of Debir. (Now the name of Debir beforetime was Kiriath-sepher.)

From there they moved against those who lived in Debir, known before as Kiriath-sepher.

And continuing on from there, he went to the inhabitants of Debir, the old name of which was Kiriath-Sepher, that is, the City of Letters.

And departing from thence he went to the inhabitants of Dabir, the ancient name of which was Cariath-Sepher, that is, the city of letters.

And he went up from there against the inhabitants of Debir; now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath-sepher.

And Caleb said, “He who attacks Kiriath-sepher and takes it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as wife.”
