Jeremiah 32:8 - Revised Standard Version

Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Buy my field which is at Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard:


Jeremiah set out from Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin to receive his portion there among the people.


And I did as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands; I went forth in the dark, carrying my outfit upon my shoulder in their sight.


So it was annulled on that day, and the traffickers in the sheep, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.


The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live”; and he himself believed, and all his household.
