You will be saved from the loose woman, from the adventuress with her smooth words,
lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless;
for a harlot may be hired for a loaf of bread, but an adulteress stalks a man's very life.
She seizes him and kisses him, and with impudent face she says to him:
Therefore the showers have been withheld, and the spring rain has not come; yet you have a harlot's brow, you refuse to be ashamed.
at the head of every street you built your lofty place and prostituted your beauty, offering yourself to any passer-by, and multiplying your harlotry.
So you were different from other women in your harlotries; none solicited you to play the harlot: and you gave hire, while no hire was given to you; therefore you were different.
