For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.


for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm give them victory; but thy right hand, and thy arm, and the light of thy countenance; for thou didst delight in them.


“You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.


If the Lord delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.
