Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he showed, and how he warred, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?


Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal family.


And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.


And Jehoshaphat grew steadily greater. He built in Judah fortresses and store-cities,


Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat; and he had great riches and honor.

But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.


After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did wickedly.


And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done; for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.


But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.


Do not be mismated with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
