Do not become idolaters as some of them did; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and they rose up to play.”
For the people of those regions report about us what kind of welcome we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God,

The rest of humankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands or give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.
