You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah


that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children,


So Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt,


For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord.


you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people bowed their heads and worshiped.

For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the Lord will speak to this people,


Behold, I am bringing against you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, declares the Lord. It is an enduring nation; it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor can you understand what they say.


and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’


who drink wine in bowls and anoint themselves with the finest oils, but are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph!


The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, swooping down like the eagle, a nation whose language you do not understand,


These are the testimonies, the statutes, and the rules, which Moses spoke to the people of Israel when they came out of Egypt,
