And the Lord sent Nathan to David. He came to him and said to him, “There were two men in a certain city, the one rich and the other poor.


“Go and say to David, ‘Thus says the Lord, Three things I offer you. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.’”

Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.
