But her profits and wages will be dedicated to the Lord. They will not be stored or saved, for her profit will go to those who live in the Lord’s presence, to provide them with ample food and sacred clothing.


Kings will be your guardians and their queens  your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the ground and lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the  Lord; those who put their hope in me will not be put to shame.


When he began to settle accounts, one who owed ten thousand talents   was brought before him.


In the same way the man with two earned two more.


He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas,   and told them, “Engage in business until I come back.”


For David, after serving God’s purpose in his own generation, fell asleep,  was buried with his fathers, and decayed,


But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace towards me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.


The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to get a share of the crops.
