But I will rescue you on that day #– #this is the Lord’s declaration #– #and you will not be handed over to the men you dread.
‘And the King will answer them, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
‘Then he will answer them, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”
‘Whoever welcomes one little child such as this in my name welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but him who sent me.’
Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.’

so that all people may honour the Son just as they honour the Father. Anyone who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God.’
You did not despise or reject me though my physical condition was a trial for you. On the contrary, you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus himself.
Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
Anyone who does not remain in Christ’s teaching but goes beyond it does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.
