Mark 9:36 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

He took a child, had him stand among them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them,

And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

And He took a little child and put him in the center of their group; and taking him in [His] arms, He said to them,

And he took a little child, and set him in the midst of them: and taking him in his arms, he said unto them,

Jesus reached for a little child, placed him among the Twelve, and embraced him. Then he said,

"Whoever receives one such child in my name, receives me. And whoever receives me, receives not me, but him who sent me."

Whosoever shall receive one such child as this in my name, receiveth me. And whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

He called a small child and stood him among them.

After taking them in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.

Sitting down, he called the Twelve and said to them, ‘If anyone wants to be first, he must be last and servant of all.’

‘Whoever welcomes one little child such as this in my name welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but him who sent me.’
