But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, how they might kill him.


So they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians.  ‘Teacher,’ they said, ‘we know that you are truthful and teach truthfully the way of God. You don’t care what anyone thinks nor do you show partiality.  ,


Then  they sent some of the Pharisees  and the Herodians  to Jesus to trap him in his words.


Then  he gave them strict orders: ‘Watch out! Beware of the leaven   , of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.’


The chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to put him to death,  because they were afraid of the people.


They, however, were filled with rage and started discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.


So from that day on they plotted to kill him.
