So Elisha said to Gehazi, ‘Tuck your mantle  under your belt, take my staff with you, and go. If you meet anyone, don’t stop to greet him, and if a man greets you, don’t answer him.  Then place my staff on the boy’s face.’


So, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell his disciples the news.


When Jesus had finished saying these things,  the crowds were astonished at his teaching,


But go, tell his disciples and Peter,  “He is going ahead of you to Galilee;  you will see him there just as he told you.” ’


Early  on the first day of the week,  after he had risen,  he appeared first to Mary Magdalene,  out of whom he had driven seven demons.


Don’t carry a money-bag,   travelling bag,   or sandals;   don’t greet anyone along the road.


But they were startled and terrified  and thought they were seeing a ghost.
